The spread of COVID-19 continues to affect us all. With the uncertainty of what is yet to come as a result of this pandemic, we continue to monitor the situation and remain focused on the health and safety of the patients we love, our dedicated staff, our community, and our families.

In accordance with the latest recommendations from the ADA (Australian Dental Association), and to make sure we are doing our part to prevent unnecessary exposure to our patients and staff ads well as the further spread of the virus, we will be deferring all routine dental treatments and restricting appointments to urgent treatment and emergencies only.

So what should you do if you experience a Dental Emergency Like a Severe Toothache?

This can be caused by a variety of reasons and to find out the cause of your pain it is important for me to know:

  • Is the tooth sensitive to hot or cold?
  • Does the pain last for a few seconds or does it build up and linger?
  • Is the toothache worse straight after you have eaten?
  • Does the tooth hurt even when you have not eaten?
  • Does the tooth hurt when you tap on it?
  • Is the tooth loose?
  • Is the gum next to the tooth swollen?
  • Is your face swollen?
  • Does the toothache keep you up at night?
  • Does the tooth hurt again when the painnkillers wear off?
  • Can you feel a hole in the tooth?

Is your tooth broken?
