Whether you’re struggling with gaps between your pearly whites, teeth that don’t look quite as straight as you’d hoped, or a lost, cracked or damaged tooth, a crown or bridge may help you restore your smile to one you’ll be proud to show off.
Crowns and bridges are common cosmetic dental treatments that protect vulnerable teeth and provide a bright, symmetrical smile that will boost your confidence and have you wishing you’d made an appointment with TLC Dental sooner.
Introduction to Dental Crowns: Book Your Appointment Now with a Sydney Dental Specialist
A dental crown is a protective shell for a compromised tooth, designed to look like the natural one you were born with. It can cover chips and cracks, uneven wear, and other dental or cosmetic issues. Crowns can even be created to cover a gap between your teeth if your natural teeth are narrow or spaced apart.
A bridge is similar to a crown but designed to help stabilize your smile if you’ve experienced the loss of one or more of your teeth. A dental bridge involves placing a cap over one or two teeth beside a gap, attached to a false tooth to cover the open space. This strategy can help brace your smile and retain proper alignment.
At TLC Dental, we take pride in providing excellent crowns and dental bridges for our patients. Whether you need a crown for cosmetic reasons, or you’d like a full dental bridge to protect your smile, give our friendly office a call today, we’d love to hear from you.

Same Day Dental Crown for Your Teeth – No Waiting for Dental Crowns or Bridge!
Dental crowns can be fabricated to protect or cover a tooth or implant. With today’s technology, crowns can be created to mimic the shape of your natural tooth, fit perfectly in your mouth, and even match the shade of the teeth so you’ll never even know it’s there.
At TLC Dental, we use a CEREC machine for dental restorations that involves crowns. This state-of-the-art technology allows us to create and apply your crown in a single visit! Our patients appreciate the ease and efficiency this provides. No more waiting around and multiple appointments.
If you come into TLC Dental for a crown, your dentist will first make sure your tooth will fit inside of the dental crown by filing it down. Then, your dentist will use a small camera to record a digital impression of the area around your tooth. This image will be used to create a custom-fit porcelain crown using a 3D milling machine in our office. During that same appointment, we’ll bond the crown into your smile – and you’ll be done!
In some cases, we will need to create your crown in a lab. If you aren’t a candidate for a same-day dental crown, we’ll take a physical impression of your tooth and send it to a lab. The lab will make your crown and send it back in time for your second appointment, where we’ll bond it to your smile.
To find out whether you qualify for same-day dental crowns, make an appointment with our professional dental team at TLC Dental and we’ll figure out the best options for your case. We’ll gladly discuss what options are available for you, and can help you decide the best method of treatment moving forward.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges can help protect your gums and brace your smile. When you lose a tooth, your exposed gums can become vulnerable to disease and injury.
Dental bridges provide a simple, aesthetically-pleasing treatment to protect your smile and oral health after tooth loss.
If you come to TLC Dental for a dental bridge, Dr Hoff will first file down the teeth beside your gap so that they can fit inside of a crown. If you’ve lost multiple teeth, or your teeth aren’t strong enough to support a bridge, your dentist may need to place an implant to act as an anchor point.
After preparing your teeth for the dental bridge, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth to make up the new bridge with our CEREC machine. In some cases, we’ll send the impressions off to a lab to make your custom-fit a dental bridge – in the meantime, you’ll be fitted with a temporary bridge to protect your teeth until the final one is ready.
When your custom bridge is ready, it is securely bonded to your teeth. The bridge will have one or two crowns covering your remaining teeth beside the gap, cemented to a fake tooth that fits over your gap. Once your bridge is placed, you can continue to eat, drink, brush, and floss as normal.
If you think you may benefit from dental crowns or a bridge, you’re concerned about the appearance of your teeth, or you want to discuss ways to protect them, give us a call today!
